I Give Up

I tried to read LBD: It's a Girl Thing by Grace Dent. I tried to like it, I really did. But the writing was weak, the characters dull, immature, and slutty, and just like Louise Rennison's books, she tried so hard, *too hard* to sound quirky that it all came out wrong. I had to stop reading when I got to "What have the grown-ups got up their sleeves next? Full Muslim burkas to be worn by all under eighteen?"
