Dash & Lily's Book of Dares
written by David Levithan and Rachel Cohn
Dash & Lily's Book of Dares is one of the cutest stories I have ever read. It's getting to be wintertime, so reading the book at this point in the year was a good decision. The premise is adorable--starting off with a scavenger hunt between strangers at New York's greatest used book store, The Strand. I know this review is just going to be an abundance of 'cute' and 'adorable' and 'awwww', but guess what? So is the book! I was worried that the story was going to be a string of misses only to end with a disappointment, but like any good holiday story, there's more sweetness than you can stand. The cheese is pretty well balanced with a dose of reality, but the ideas of fate and faith (not at all in the religious sense) do come into play often. If you ever need a dose of fluff on a bad day, seriously, go find this book, just do it.
I got this book from...:Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh
currently reading: The Death Cure by James Dashner
